Zentangle!

An art form, basically a doodle, that I learned recently is called Zentangle. It's a fun way to relieve stress. :) If you google Zentangle images you'll see a lot of cool artwork and find some additional information about it.

Here is an example of some things I've done. Sorry it's not a great photo.

Chess

I had the urge to draw chess pieces the other day and so I did. :)

They're fun to take pictures of also

And if you're wondering I rarely actually play the game because I'm terrible at it. :)

Food Art

We were at my cousin's house and we looked up some food art ideas and had a lot of fun looking at the ideas and trying to imitate them. :) I was proud at how well these turned out. :)

Watercolor Mountains

The result of just having some fun water color painting with my sister...nothing much, but we had fun. :) I love the way water colors look though I don't really know that much about them and how to use them.

Glass Blowing

Last Christmas I got a gift of going to a glass blowing place to take a little class. I got to make a flower with a little help from the teacher. There were about 7 others there also, and the teacher gave a demonstration on making a flower, then we got to make something: a flower, a bowl, an ornament, or a paperweight. It was a lot of fun and it turned out great!

I drew my shoe.

Yeah. I drew my shoe, just plopped it down in front of me and drew it. I haven't had a ton of time for art lately because I've been so busy, but I was at a friend's house and we decided to draw our shoes. :) Quite fun, actually. Truthfully I didn't quite finish: I didn't draw the stitching, I just drew lines for some of it; and I didn't put the brand name on it. But here it is.

PART TWO OF POST, HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH DRAWING SHOES  :) :P
I while ago my family got the idea from friends to make these things called dreamboards. All you need is a large piece of paper and some magazines. So our whole family sat down with this stuff and made them together, looking through the magazines for things we like or dream of doing. Then we cut them out and glued them on. It was so fun and it was really cool to see everyone's different dreams and things they're passionate about. Each family member explained some of the different things they chose to put on their dreamboard to everyone. I'm not going to do that here:), but I still thought I'd share a picture of my dreamboard with you...
