I just found these pictures from last spring maybe? And thought they would be fun to post here. I used a stick to write them in gravel.

Crayon Craft!

Just because I might be artistic doesn't mean I can think of a creative title:).

But this is what it is. You've most likely seen it before, I have known about it for a while and finally found a time to do it when my friend was over at my house....and I'm glad I did it with someone, cause I needed someone to talk to while I peeled all those crayons didn't I? :) So we talked while we peeled crayons (we each made one, and this is mine).

Pretty awesome, isn't it? It's super easy, so you could do it too. Here's what you need.
-Crayons
-Hot glue gun
-Canvas or a couple sheets of Paper stacked on a piece of cardboard
-Hair Dryer
Optional but highly recommended:
                                                                -A friend or sibling to do it with:)
What to do:
1) Peel the crayons. What fun!☺ Actually, if you want to buy new crayons you can keep the nice beautiful wrapping on them, and melt the ends. If you're like me, and you don't have time, just use old ones peeled. If they are old but look nice you don't have to peel them, but for me they were all in the same box for a long time together, and you could barely tell what the color was by looking at the wrapper. :) I think I've discussed the wrapper on crayons long enough, so...

2) Take your canvas or cardboard and paper (Umm....buy canvas? no, I definitely couldn't do that this time. You can do this alternate option also. Glue two layers of thick(ish) paper onto a layer of cardboard.) Arrange the crayons how you want them. In rainbow order? Only blues, purples, and pinks? Only yellows, oranges, and reds? Your choice. You can also put the crayons in circles, hearts, flowers, or some other shape rather than just along the edge. (If you're going for easy, stick to the edge:) ). You can also do things like put black letter stickers with your name across the bottom, so crayon wax doesn't run on the paper/canvas there. Now that you've got that figured out...

3) Glue the crayons to your surface with hot glue. (Yes, I'm expecting you to have warmed it up already by this point so you don't have to wait for it, unlike what we did ☺). In case you're wondering....Put the glue on the paper, then stick the crayon to it. Don't put the glue directly on the crayon. Don't ask why we started doing that until we realized how ridiculous it was to do that☺. (But actually we saw a picture of someone doing it that way so that was probably in the back of our minds when we did it).

4) Turn the hair dryer on low and work your way across (or around, or whatever it is) the crayons. I usually hold the hair dryer 1/2 inch to 1 inch away from the crayons.
Tips: You only melt the very tips of the crayon, or else it will take a while, and look a little strange. Point the hair dryer downwards, or in whatever direction you want to melt the wax in. You can do it on high, but sometimes the wax goes in whatever direction it wants then. A good mix is start blowing on high until they get drippy, then go to low to direct the melted wax. Put several of the same or similar color in a row. If you don't the colors will run together and you will get weird dark colors that I personally don't think are pretty. Hmmm.... I think that's all.... Oh, and depending on how many crayons you have it shouldn't take that long to melt the tips. Maybe ten to fifteen or twenty minutes at the most. And if you don't want wax on the tip of the hair dryer, be careful. It's easy to let the hair dryer slowly drift towards the crayons and then get onto them while you're just holding it.

Don't worry, it's not as complicated as you are thinking it is by looking at this☺.
And it makes beautiful art from old, possibly dirty crayons (assuming you use old), just like God makes us a new creation if we are in Him.

Phew, that's a relief! I'm so glad, because I'd much rather be a beautiful art piece, showing God's glory, rather than being an old dirty crayon.

diy craft

I saw a friends do it yourself post (Click here) and it looked so cool I wanted to try it. It took a while because I didn't know what book to tear pages out of :). But here they are. This was a really fun and easy craft, taking only a couple minutes, but with great results! You can also try lots of different ways to do it...

obviously my watercolor ability isn't that great...I'll stop there. I think I'll try some more to improve.

I'm drawing on....what?

Lots of times I just draw on whatever I can find in the car.

For example a map, on a car trip.... (you can't tell because of the way I took the pictures, you'll just have to trust me)

Not like my other horse, but I just drew this quickly and without looking at something. At least you can tell what it is :). 

 I didn't have enough space to draw the other eye completely. I didn't feel like trying to draw it half way. So this is just a half blind person I guess....And below I put an blue ink eye in really quickly so it doesn't look that great. I guess I just have a problem with criticizing my artwork or something. I'll just have to remind myself that I drew it quickly and it really doesn't matter. Okay, now that I did, on to other stuff. :) It's titled Seeing Beyond by the way. In The Giver Jonas has that ability and has blue eyes so that's what I thought of when I was finished.

ups and downs

This post is showing you my not so good art. To put it gently, as an artist these are my downs.  Why am I showing them to you? so you know how the half of my art that doesn't turn out good looks☺.  This one is too flat.

 But I was drawing from my head, and usually that turns out worse, I'm much better at copying things.
